San Bartolomeo al Mare

San Bartolomeo al Mare ( in Ligurian: San Bartumé ) is a municipality with 3088 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the northern Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Imperia.

Geography

San Bartolomeo al Mare is located on the Riviera di Ponente and takes the lower portion of the Valle Steria, on the very edge of a province. The territory of the municipality is divided into three residential areas: San Bartolomeo, Pairola and Chiappa. At San Bartolomeo al Mare include the settlements Rovere, Poiolo, viali, Steri, San Simone, Richieri, Freschi, Tre Molini, Molini and Rocca. From the provincial capital of the municipality of Imperia is approximately nine kilometers away.
