San Biagio Saracinisco
San Biagio Saracinisco is a municipality in the province of Frosinone in the Italian region Latium, located about 359 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located 149 km east of Rome and 67 km east of Frosinone.
Geography
San Biagio Saracinisco is on an elongated terrace on the slope of the Monti della Meta above the valley of the Rapido. A large part of its territory belongs to the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. The highest point of the municipality is the Monte Cavallo ( 2039 ). San Biagio is a member of the Comunità Montana Valle di Comino.
The nearby towns are Castel San Vincenzo (IS), Picinisco, Pizzone (IS), Rocchetta a Volturno (IS), Sant'Elia Fiumerapido and Vallerotonda.

San Biagio Saracinisco, is connected with the Strada Statale 627 della Vandra that leads from Sora to Isernia to the road network.
History
San Biagio was already inhabited by the Samnites, before it was incorporated into the Roman Empire. It still remembers a Samnite necropolis near the village.
After the Battle of Garigliano some Saracens fled to the mountains at San Biagio to entrench themselves here. Reminded today of the epithet Saracinisco.
In the Middle Ages, the village had little significance and was changing masters. During the Second World War, the population of San Biagio was brought from German occupation in a camp near Rome on January 15. In advance of the Allies, the village was completely subsequently destroyed. So now focuses tourist interest in the spectacular nature. It created numerous cottages for residents of the surrounding cities.
