San Carlo al Corso

Santi Ambrogio e Carlo, San Carlo al Corso also, is a church in Rome. She is titular church of the Roman Catholic Church and is located on Via del Corso.

Architecture

Right transept

The altar in the right transept is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception and was probably built in 1769 by Paolo Posi on behalf of Cardinal Erasmo Paravicini. Polychrome marble and gilded bronze decorate the altar. The image is a mosaic designed as a copy of a painting of Carlo Maratta, which is located in the Cybo Chapel of Santa Maria del Popolo.
