San Clemente (Emilia-Romagna)

San Clemente is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5396 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Rimini in Emilia -Romagna. The community is located about 15 kilometers southeast of Rimini.

History

The place was first mentioned in 962 in a deed of Otto I to the Earl of Carpegna. Finally, the family of Malatesta Lord will about the area.

Until 1992 the village belonged to the province of Forlì- Cesena.
