San Felice del Benaco

San Felice del Benaco is a town with 3395 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It belongs to the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. The neighboring municipalities are Garda ( VR), Manerba del Garda, Puegnago sul Garda, Salò, Torri del Benaco (VR).

The sprawling municipality is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Garda, in the scenic hills of Valtenesi, a terminal moraine, which is with its vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees and small villages on the hilltops of Tuscany. The nickname of the village is derived from the ancient name for the lake, the lacus Benaco.

The village is located about two kilometers from shore. In the center of the parish church of Santi Felice, Adauto e Flavia dominated from the mid-18th century. Inside there are paintings and frescoes, among other things, in the apse of the Mother of God with San Felice and other saints. As you serve the campanile tower of an old Scala family castle.

Just outside the resort is located south the Santuario della Madonna del Carmine.
