San Floro

San Floro is a municipality with 704 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Catanzaro, region Calabria.

The territory of the municipality lies at an altitude of 260 m above sea level and covers an area of 18 km ². The neighboring municipalities are Borgia, Caraffa di Catanzaro, Catanzaro, Cortale, Girifalco and Maida. San Floro located 18 km southwest of Catanzaro.

The area around San Floro has been inhabited since the Neolithic period. The inhabitants live on agriculture, particularly the production of silk.
