San Juan County (Colorado)

The San Juan County is a county located in the state of Colorado of the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Silverton, the only incorporated community in the county.

Geography

The County is located in southwest Colorado in the middle of the San Juan Mountains and has an area of 1006 square kilometers, of which 2 square kilometers is water area. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Ouray County, Hinsdale County, La Plata County, Dolores County and San Miguel County.
