San Lorenzo Tenochtitlán

San Lorenzo Tenochtitlan is the complex term for three Olmec ceremonial centers in the state of Veracruz ( Mexico), which were found near the villages of San Lorenzo Tenochtitlan and Portero Nuevo.

San Lorenzo is considered the oldest known ceremonial center. Between 1150 and 900 BC originated here temples with columns and sculptures as well as colossal heads. Around 900 BC San Lorenzo was destroyed and witnessed 600-400 BC, a new settlement.
