San Luis F.C.

Called Club San Luis, or shortly after the hometown San Luis Potosí as San Luis, is a Mexican football club that plays in the Primera División.

History

The club was founded in 1957 as the Real Club de Fútbol San Luis and received for the 1957/58 season a starting spot in the second division. This he won in the 1970/71 season, making San Luis managed to carve out the football House of Lords. The first season in La Liga 1971/72 ended San Luis with a respectable twelfth place in the overall table ( with a total of 18 teams ) and a nearly perfect balance: 11 wins were against 13 defeats.

At the same time in the city of San Luis Potosi, a second club was founded, which was given a starting place in the second division and should act as a base for the first class gambling club San Luis. But after two years, the roles of both clubs were redistributed: the 1973/74 season during the Club San Luis with only 21 points finished in last place in the table and thus relegated to the second division, the Club Atlético Potosino reached the semi-finals of the second division division in the battle for promotion to the Primera.
