San Marino in the Eurovision Song Contest

This article deals with the history of San Marino as participants in the Euro Vision Song Contest (ESC).

San Marino 2008 in Belgrade took part for the first time at the Euro Vision Song Contest (ESC). Until then, San Marino one of the few countries in the EBU, who had not yet participated in the ESC. After 2008 Azerbaijan made ​​its debut, remained only Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon ( failed attempt in 2005 ), Libya, Tunisia and the Vatican State as a non- participant in the Euro Vision Song Contest.

Regularity of participation and success in competition

For the ESC 2008 in Belgrade San Marino participated for the first time at the ESC and was eliminated in the first semifinal finished last with only five points. National Qualifications
