San Nicolas (Pangasinan)

San Nicolas is a town in the Philippine province of Pangasinan. It is bordered to the north and east by the provinces of Benguet and Nueva Vizcaya. In the 208 km ² area in 2010 lived 34 108 people, resulting in a population density of 164 inhabitants per km ². As in the neighboring municipality of San Manuel, most residents live in the flat south of the area. In the north and east of the site because of the Philippine Cordilleras greatly increases. At San Nicolas has also a part of the San Roque Dam. The municipality was founded in 1800 by Nicolas Patricio y Mejia and named after him.
