San Pedro Department, Misiones

The department of San Pedro is located in the northeast of the province of Misiones in northeast Argentina.

It is bordered to the north by the Department of General Manuel Belgrano, on the east by Brazil, on the south by the Guaraní department and to the west by the departments of Monte Carlo and Eldorado.

The capital of the department of San Pedro San Pedro is the same name that also constitutes the only municipality of the department.

Population

According to estimates by the INDEC, the population increased from 23,736 inhabitants (2001) to 26,720 inhabitants in 2005.
