San Prisco

San Prisco is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 12,055 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Caserta in Campania. The municipality is situated approximately 5 kilometere west-northwest of Caserta, about 27 kilometers north of Naples in the Tifata.

History

Within the municipality there are still ancient plants. So here is the temple of Jupiter Tifatino from the second or third century BC.

Traffic

San Prisco is on the Autostrada del Sole ( A1) from Rome to Naples. However, a connection does not exist. The Strada Statale 7 Appia runs in east-west direction through the community area and connects with Capua Caserta. The nearest railway station is located in Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
