Sanaga River

The Sanaga, with a length of 918 kilometers, the longest river in Central Africa Cameroon.

He has two source rivers, the Djerem and Lom. The Djerem in the highlands of Adamawa to 1150 m, the Lom in the highlands of Jade at 1200 m. The rough direction of flow of Sanagas oriented from east-northeast to west southwest. The vegetation along the upper reaches is largely tree savanna, however, converts to the middle and lower reaches in the tropical rain forest. Below Edea navigability to the coast, where the Sanaga flows into the Atlantic Ocean begins.

The major tributary of the Sanaga are the Mbam and Mbuku.
