Sanchez-Mira

Sanchez- Mira is a town in the Philippine province of Cagayan and is located in the northwest of the province on the South China Sea. In 2010 lived in the 198 km ² area 23,257 residents, resulting in a population density of 117 inhabitants per km ². On the coast, partly project over 500 meters high and heavily wooded mountains from the sea. The population that has their settlements on the coast and in the valleys, living mostly by farming and fishing. The natives belong to the tribe of Kalinga. In the south the city borders on the province of Apayao. A major educational institution in the community is the Cagayan State University.
