Sander

An orbital sander or sander or sander ( Metabo ) is a hand-held power tool, with which one is able, through differently structured essays ( grinding wheels ) to grind surfaces. Orbital sanders are used for forward and re-grinding of different materials such as hard and soft woods as well as in paints. The abrasive paper is attached by a snap lock or Velcro on the swing plate. By means of a dust extraction ensures an environmentally and body safe work.

Classic sander

Means of a motor is brought by an eccentrically positioned rotor plate spanned the sandpaper in a swinging motion. The grinding plate is rectangular and circular swings.

Random Orbit Sander

In contrast to the classical orbital sander random orbital sander has the rotating grinding wheel, the center also performs a circular motion, as the usually round sanding pad mounted eccentrically on the drive axle.

The random orbital sander is guided parallel to the work surface. It can rotate freely or forced out. The removal rate is increased measurably under positive control. In addition to the metalworking and wood, plastic and glass can be processed. Random orbit sanders are ideal for sanding of surfaces, the usual in the classical orbital sander circular grooves in the grinding material can be largely avoided by the combined rotational and oscillating movements.
