Sandra Bernhard

Sandra Bernhard ( born June 6, 1955 in Flint, Michigan ) is an American actress, singer, and a comedy star.

Life

Bernhard graduated from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, then they worked occasionally as a beautician in Los Angeles.

Bernhard played in the film The King of Comedy (1983 ) opposite Robert De Niro and Jerry Lewis, in the film Hudson Hawk - The Thief (1991 ) opposite Bruce Willis and Andie MacDowell. She performed in many episodes on the sitcom Roseanne, where she played the lesbian in later seasons Nancy Bartlett.

Bernhard published books such as Confessions of a Pretty Lady, May I Kiss You on the Lips, Miss Sandra and Love, Love and Love as well as several music albums. The original edition of their plate Without You I'm Nothing (1987 ) achieved at auctions prices above U.S. $ 300, the original edition of I'm Your Woman (1979 ) of about $ 100. Excuses For Bad Behavior (Part One) was published in 1991.

Bernhard caused a sensation by public cuddly scenes with Madonna at the end of the 1980s. In September 1992, she was featured on the cover of Playboy magazine. She has a daughter (* 1998).

Controversy

On September 19, 2008 Sandra Bernhard threatened at an event at the Theater J of the Washington DC Jewish Community Center of the Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin so that she of " a gang of her big black brothers " (quote: " big black brothers" ) raped (quote " gang- raped " ) would, she should visit Manhattan. Palin was planning at the time of an election campaign stop in New York. Later, Sandra Bernhard said: ". Course I wish Governor Palin no harm " Bernhard warned Sarah Palin and that she should stay away from the Old Testament and Christianity called her "new goyish crappy shiksa funky bullshit". In an interview with The Huffington Post, October 2, 2008 Bernhard denies having used the words "gang - raped ". You have twisted her words.
