Sandra Gasparini

Sandra Gasparini ( born November 28, 1990 in Sterzing ) is an Italian luger.

Career

Sandra Gasparini is a student and lives in Sterzing. You toboggan since 2004 and also since heard on the national team of Italy. Their first season in the seniors drove Gasparini 2006/07. Her debut at the Luge World Cup it was the first race of the season in Cesana Pariol, where she was 28. In its second season, three 16 ranks were her best results, which they reached in the World Cup as a 17, her best overall result. Only little worse were the results of season 2008/09. In the Luge World Cup in Igls 2007 she won the individual race 21st place and won silver with the Italian team in the team competition. The European Luge Championships 2008, she finished 12th in the individual as and won the team bronze. A year later at the World Championships in Lake Placid, she came in a single on the 18th Place. In 2009 she was Italian champion. The 2009/10 season began with mediocre results in Calgary and Altenberg, before they could improve their performance back then. In Winterberg she succeeded with the ninth place its first top- 10 finish in the World Cup. At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010 she was ranked 20th. The season she finished shortly afterwards on the 18th place in the overall World Cup standings. In the first race of the season 2010/11 Gasparini finished sixth and thus, her best result in a single World Cup race in Igls.
