Sandra Gasser

Sandra Gasser ( born July 27, 1962 in Bern ) is a former Swiss track and field athlete, specialized in middle distance running.

After they had occupied at the IAAF 1987 World Championships in the 1500 meter race in third place, she was tested positive for doping and disqualified. At the end of their two -year ban she came again to the world's best and won the silver medal at the European Indoor Championships in 1990, the bronze medal at the European Championships in 1990 and at the World Indoor Championships in 1993, although they fell in this race to the finish line.

Sandra Gasser was 7 times Swiss champion and still holds the national record in the 800 -meter run. She is 1,71 m tall and had a competition weight of 52 kg.
