Sandra Keith
Sandra Keith ( born December 11, 1980 in Ottawa ) is a former Canadian biathlete.
Sandra Keith is a student from Canmore with a bachelor's degree in economics. According to the company it was already two years on cross-country skis and operates since 1992 Biathlon. They will start for the Rocky Mountain Racers and is the coach of the Canadian women's team, Geret Coyne, previously owned by Roger Archambault, trained. Since 1997 she is part of the Canadian national team. Her international debut was in 1998 in Jericho at the Junior World Championships. Best result was a 29th place in the individual here. A year later, she gave hamlet in peace their debut in the European Cup. In the sprint she was eleventh in the pursuit of Eighth and the Second Season. By 2000, more gigs followed at Junior World and European Championships, but without reaching outstanding results.
2001 Keith made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup. In a sprint race in Hochfilzen she came on the 84th Place. In the following years, Keith was always alternating between World and European. In 2003 she won the European Cup in Ridnaun the first Canadian since Myriam Bedard's success in the 1980s and 90s, an international race outside North America. After that, she participated in her first Biathlon World Championships. In 2003 she took up also at the Universiade and reached as Canada's tenth best placement in this competition. In Hochfilzen she won in 2005 as 26 in a single first World Cup points. In 2006, she competed at the Olympic Games in Turin. Best finish was a 42nd place in singles. In the sprint Pokljuka she reached the World Cup season 2007/2008 with the 11th place, her best World Cup result and was the fastest of all error-free shooters.
Keith won 16 Canadian Championship titles and was five times second and third. In North America Championships, she won four titles and two silver and one bronze. She is romantically involved with the Norwegian biathletes Halvard Hanevold. In order to raise money for their sports, Keith on Bold Beautiful Biathlon calendar took part project.
