Sandra Toft

Sandra Toft ( born October 18, 1989 in Gribskov ) is a Danish handball player.

Career

Toft started playing handball at Team Helsinge and joined with 14 years of the club Virum Sorgenfri 2002. In the summer of 2007, the goalkeeper joined Team Tvis Holstebro, with their women's team played in the second highest Danish league. In 2009 she rose with Holstebro on in the top flight. In the season 2010/11 she was in the EHF Cup final, but it lost to the league rivals FC Midtjylland Håndbold. In January 2012, Toft injured during training at the knee so hard that it turned out the rest of the regular season. In the 2012/13 season they again reached the final of the EHF Cup, the Holstebro could win this time. In June 2013 Toft had surgery on the knee, which she will be sidelined for three months.

Toft was in 2008 her debut in the Danish national team, for which they may have played 39 internationals. For the first time she participated in the World Cup 2011 with Denmark. With Denmark they finished fourth. Your next tournament participation was the European Championship in 2012.
