Sandra Wagner-Sachse

Sandra axis ( born September 9, 1969 in Eslohe ( Sauerland) as Sandra Wagner ) is a German archer, who won two Olympic medals.

The skilled precision engineer won her first international medal at the European Championships in 1994, when she succumbed along with Barbara Mensing and Cornelia Pfohl only in the finale of the Russian team. The following year, she finished with the German team to fourth place at the World Championships. In the 1996 Olympics, the German team reached Mensing, Pfohl and Wagner the final against the South Koreans and received the silver medal. In the absence of the South Koreans, the German team at the World Indoor Championships in 1997 the title ahead of Kazakhstan won with Wiebke zeros, Pfohl and Wagner.

After her marriage with Peter Sachse, she joined in 1998 under the name of Sandra axis. Together with Pfohl and Mensing, she won bronze at the European Indoor Championships 1998 at the outdoor European Championships she won in 1998 along with Britta Bühren and Cornelia Pfohl. In its second part in the Olympics in Sydney in 2000 axis met with the German team in the semis to the South Koreans and subject, in the fight for third place won Mensing, Pfohl and axis against the Turkish team.
