Sandrine Salerno

Sandrine Salerno ( * 1971 in Geneva) is a Swiss politician (SP). From June 1 2013 to May 31, 2014, it has served as president of the city of Geneva (French Maire de Genève ). Already from 2010 to 2011 she served as president of Geneva's city.

Sandrine Salerno studied political science and public administration leadership at the University of Geneva. From 1995 to 1997 she was deputy in charge of the human rights program of the Centre Europe - Tiers Monde, 1997-2001 Coordinator of the Centre de Contact Suisse - Immigrés, then to 2006 research assistant at the University of Geneva. From 2006 to 2007 she worked in the Department of Education of the Canton of Geneva.

1999 Sandrine Salerno for the SP in the municipal council (French Conseil municipal) was elected to the City of Geneva. From 2006 to 2007 she was also president of the city of Geneva Social Democratic Party. In 2007 she was elected to the city council ( Conseil administratif ), where they took over the living and Department of Finance ( DFL). She is only the fourth woman to be elected to a city of Geneva government. From 1 June 2010, she was president of the city for a year and has held since 1 June 2013 for the second time this office.

Sandrine Salerno is a mother of two children.
