Sangiang

Sangiang ( indonesian Pulau sangiang ) is an Indonesian island located in the middle of the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra.

Administratively, it belongs to the province of Banten in western Java. The island will be affected in the future by the planned for 2025 Sundastraßenbrücke. It is uninhabited and a nature reserve since 1991. In Dutch it was Dwars -in- the - way - cross the path.

The island can be reached in about 45 minutes from Anyer by ship or boat. It has coral reefs and some beaches.
