Susanne " Sanne " Ledermann ( born October 7, 1928 in Berlin, † November 19, 1943 in the concentration camp Auschwitz -Birkenau ) was a German - Jewish girl who was murdered in the Auschwitz concentration camp. Susanne gained notoriety as one of the best friends of Anne Frank.

Life

Sanne Ledermann was born in 1928, the second daughter of the business lawyer and notary Franz Ledermann ( 1889-1943 ) and the Dutch pianist Ilse Luise Ledermann -Citroën ( 1904-1943 ) in Berlin. Her sister Barbara (* 1925) was three years older than her. After the Nazi seizure of power Franz Ledermann lost numerous clients. As a Jewish lawyer he could only represent Jews and eventually had to close his office. 1933, he emigrated with his family to the Netherlands, where relatives of his wife lived. Ledermann settled with his wife and children in Amsterdam, where he opened a counseling center for Jewish emigres with Hans Goslar. Sanne was a student at the public Montessori school where they became friends with Hans Goslar daughter Hanneli Goslar and their kindergarten girlfriend Anne Frank quickly. In June 1934 Sanne belonged to classmates who invited Anne Frank to their fifth birthday - four months after Anne had come from Aachen to Amsterdam. Her sister Barbara was a regular as a friend of Margot Frank in the House of Frank's guest.

Sanne Ledermann and Hanneli Goslar were Anne Frank's best friends.
