" Sans famille - Homeless " ( as a film The Foundling ) is the title of a novel by Hector Malot from 1878, which was processed in various films. The story is the equivalent of Oliver Twist.

Homeless In the story of young Remi is told, was robbed his parents as an infant and exposed in Paris.

Remi, found in Paris by a stonemason named Barberin is brought by the latter in his hometown near Ussel. Barberin returns to the assumption that his wife would give the child to the Findelheim, back to his work in Paris.
