Santa Barbara Machine Head

Santa Barbara Machine Head was a short-lived blues-rock band whose members later joined all known rock groups.

The band Santa Barbara Machine Head, founded in 1967, only three instrumentals ( Porcupine Juice, Albert and Rubber Monkey) for Immediate Records, which on the Blues Sampler Blues Anytime Vol 3 1968 published An Anthology of British Blues. Stylistically, the pieces are attributed to the electric blues.

Jon Lord later founded Deep Purple, Ron Wood played with the Jeff Beck Group, The Creation, the Faces and the Rolling Stones, Twink joined the Pretty Things at and Kim Gardner played at The Creation and Ashton, Gardner & Dyke.
