Santa Cruz Palace

The Palacio de Santa Cruz in Valladolid is the first Renaissance buildings in Spain.

Formerly the seat of the Colegio Mayor Santa Cruz, then temporarily place the government sculpture museum, it now houses the Rectorate of the University of Valladolid, the University Museum, a valuable library and a collection of African art.

History

The college remained closed during the Napoleonic Wars and served, among other things, Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington as a residence. 1838 was definitely closed. In the 20th century it became the seat of the Rector.
