Saori Sakoda

Saori Sakoda (Japanese迫田 さおり, Sakoda Saori, born December 18, 1987 in Kagoshima ) is a Japanese volleyball player. She won the bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games.

Career

Sakoda began her career at the Kagoshima - nishi High School. In 2006 she came to Toray Arrows. Two years later she won with the club double in league and cup. 2009 and 2010 followed by two more championship titles. 2010 debuted the Außenangreiferin in the Japanese national team, with which she finished in third place in the World Cup. With their club Sakoda 2011 was runner-up. In the Asia Cup they came up with Japan to second place. 2012 she succeeded again with the Double Toray Arrows. Then Sakoda took part in the London Olympics and won the bronze medal.
