Saoutchik

Saoutchik Stellmacher was a French company that was based in Paris.

The company was founded in 1906 by emigrants from Russia cabinetmaker Saoutchik Jacques ( 1880-1957 ). He built bodies on chassis of luxury brands such as Cadillac, Bucciali, Delahaye, Hispano -Suiza, Mercedes -Benz, Panhard & Levassor, Pegaso, Renault, Rolls- Royce or Voisin and counted in the 1920s and 1930s to the body known manufacturers of France.

After the Second World War, the business took off more and more as the car manufacturers were offering increasingly self-supporting bodies own production. In addition to a few customers had after World War still enough money to afford expensive special constructions on their cars. In 1955, a Saoutchik its operation.
