Sapanca

Sapanca is a district of the Turkish province of Sakarya, while a district of Büyükşehir Belediyesi ( city municipality ) Sakarya. The village is located about 15 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital on the southern shore of Lake Sapanca Adapazari Gölü.

The district is located in the west of the province. It is bordered to the north by Serdivan, to the east by Arifiye, to the south and Geyve Pamukova and in the west by the province of Kocaeli. Through the village leads, on the southern shore of Sapanca Gölü, the European Route 80, which leads coming from Portugal in Turkey from Istanbul and Erzurum to the Iranian border. In the south of the district lying foothills of the mountain range Samanli Dağları.

By Sapanca the route of the Anatolian Railway from Istanbul Haydarpaşa leads to Ankara.
