Sara Harstick

Sara Harstick ( born September 8, 1981 in Hildesheim ) is a German former swimmer. They first started out (later renamed EVI Hildesheim ) and before the end of their career for the VfV Hildesheim Hildesheim for the SG.

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney Harstick won together with Franziska van Almsick, Antje Schulte Busch and Kerstin Kielgaß bronze over the 4 x 200 m freestyle. Four years later at the Olympic Games in Athens, Franziska van Almsick, Petra Dallmann, Antje Schulte Busch and Hannah stockbauer also brought bronze. Since Harstick was begun in advance of the race, they also got a bronze medal.

Due to the dismissal of their coach Reiner Tylinski Harstick ended in January 2008, her swimming career, as their had been taken the "necessary conditions " for a renewed Olympic qualification.
