Sarah Greenwood

Sarah Greenwood is a British production designer and art director. In the category Best Art Direction was previously nominated four times for an Oscar.

Life

Early in her career Greenwood worked mainly for numerous television productions, including, for example, the trilogy The Chronicles of Narnia, which was broadcast on the BBC from 1988.

For the first time for a movie she worked in 2005 in the drama Pride and Prejudice. For this work she was nominated Best Production Design for an Oscar in the category in 2006.

Great honors were bestowed for their performances in the film Atonement in 2007 her. In addition to further Oscar nomination, she won the BAFTA Award and together with cinematographer Seamus McGarvey and costume designer Jacqueline Durran the Evening Standard British Film Award for Best technical performance. In addition, she won the Hollywood Film Award as production designer of the year.

Her next film Sherlock Holmes earned her a nomination at the 2010 Academy Awards and the Saturn Awards, as well as winning the Art Directors Guild Award.

Sarah Greenwood is the mother of the young actor Mackintosh Muggleton ( born February 16, 1994), best known for his role as Andy Harris in the end-time horror thriller 28 Weeks Later 2007.
