Sarah Kofman

Sarah Kofman ( born September 14, 1934 in Paris, † October 15th 1994 in Paris) was a French philosopher.

Life

From 1962 to 1970 taught at the Lycée Claude Monet Kofman in Paris. From 1970 to 1988 she was the assistant of Jacques Derrida at the Sorbonne. From 1991 until her death taught Kofman also a professor at the Sorbonne philosophy. Her work includes work on Nietzsche, Freud, Derrida, among others A few days after the publication of her autobiography titled Rue Ordener, Rue Labat, Sarah Kofman committed suicide in October 1994.
