Sarah Stevenson

Sarah Stevenson, MBE ( born March 30, 1983 in Doncaster) is a British Taekwondo. It starts in the middle and heavyweight.

Stevenson began at the age of seven years at the club Doncaster All Stars Taekwondo. Your first achievements came early age of 15, in 1998 she became a Junior World Champion, a year later European Junior Champion. You could qualify for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. There, she reached the semifinals, missed a medal in fourth but scarce. The following year, Stevenson finally won her first international medal she won at the 2001 World Championships in Jeju -si the gold medal. At the European Championships in 2002 in Samsun and 2004 in Lillehammer she could each win the silver medal. Stevenson is one of the largest British medal hopes for the Olympic Games in London home. As a representative of the athletes she spoke the Olympic oath at the opening of the Games.

Stevenson's husband is also connected to the Taekwondo and is part of the coaching staff of the British national team.
