Sardinian lira
The lira (plural: lire) was the currency of the Kingdom of Sardinia until 1861 A Lira corresponded to an initial 20 Soldi. (Singular: Soldo ), those of 12 Denari (singular: Denaro ). In 1816 the lira was pegged to the French franc and converted to a decimal system, they now corresponded to 100 Centesimi (singular: Centesimo ). With the merging of the Kingdom of Sardinia, the Kingdom of Italy in 1861 it was replaced by the Italian lira.
