Sari

The sari (Hindi, f, साड़ी, sari, saree English also ) is an Indian garment for women. The sari is an example of a traditional garment ( dress ), which is still often worn in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and also in some areas of Pakistan in everyday life.

The saree consists of a five to six meters ( in extreme cases up to nine meters ) long, unsown, rectangular cloth that often has a wide Schmuckborte of a different color at one end. This fabric can be basically subdivided into three zones, the Paluv (also Pallu ), the shoulder piece that is designed most decorative, then the body of the sari, which can be performed both simple as well as very decorative rich, and the final Schmuckborte on fußläufigen hem.
