Sarkad, Hungary

The Hungarian city Sarkad is located in the southeast part of the county Békés, on the right bank of the river Fekete - Körös, a few kilometers from the Romanian border. The city is the center of the existing settlements of eleven small region Sarkad and has sister city links with Nagyszalonta and Snagov in Romania and with Niestetal in Germany.

Attractions

In the center of the settlement is a reformed church with nine towers. The bust of King Stephen the Saint and the equestrian statue of Prince Árpád were erected to commemorate the Millennium.
