Sarkin Yamma

Sarkin Yamma is a rural municipality in the Department Madarounfa in Niger. Alternative spellings are Sarki Yama, Yama Serkin, Serkin Yamma and Serki Yama.
Geography
Sarkin Yamma is the major landscape Sudan. The neighboring municipalities are Tibiri the northwest, Maradi in the east and in the south Safo. The municipality is divided into 26 administrative villages, 29 hamlets and eight bearings. The main town of the country church is Sarkin Yamma, consisting of the administrative villages Serkin Yamma Yama Saboua and Serkin Sofoua.

History
The French colonial administration set up in 1944 a canton in Sarkin Yamma one. 2002 emerged the rural community of Sarkin Yamma as part of a nationwide administrative reform from the canton of Sarkin Yamma.

At the 2001 census Sarkin Yamma had 24.970 inhabitants. For the year 2010 33.742 inhabitants were calculated.
