Sarkis Aghajan Mamendo

Sarkis Aghajan Mamendo ( Syro -Aramaic ܣ ܪ ܟ ܝ ܣ ܐ ܓ ܓ ܢ ܡ ܡ ܢ ܕ ܘ; * 1962) is an Assyrian politician.

His family is originally from Hakkari in Turkey. After the First World War, the family emigrated to Russia, then to Iran and eventually to Iraq. From 2004 to 2006 he was Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq's Kurdistan Autonomous Region from 1999 to 2009 he was Minister of Economy and Finance. From 1992 to 2005 he was a deputy in the Kurdish parliament.
