The term candle found in both sports in football, yoga as well as in the gym use.

Football

Candle is a colloquial term used in football. A candle here means a player ( ball shot ) almost perpendicular to higher altitudes ( above about 15 m) geschossener ball. When separation of a goalkeeper may occur candle when the ball is kicked with too much reserve or a strong Gegenwindböe blowing.
