The Sary- Arka Airport ( Kazakh: Сарыарқа Әуежайы, Russian: Аэропорт Сары - Арка ) ( IATA: KGF, ICAO: UAKK ) is an airport serving the capital city of Karaganda region, the Kazakh city of Karaganda same name.
History
The airport was built in 1934 and ten years later moved to his current position. 1980, the entire airport has undergone a renovation. The terminal has been replaced by a new building and the start and runway was modernized.
In 1992 he was awarded the status of an international airport, and in 1997 he became an independent public company.
Objectives
By Airlines Air Astana, SCAT and the Russian Transaero Airlines the cities of Almaty, Kyzylorda and Öskemen and Russia are served the capital Moscow and St. Petersburg in Kazakhstan. There also exist some cargo connections.
