The HK Saryarka Karaganda ( Kazakh Сарыарқа Қарағанды ​​хоккей клубы ) is a Kazakh hockey club from the city of Karaganda zentralkasachischen. The team plays in the multinational Wysschaja Hockey League.

History

The HK Saryarka was founded on 25 July 2006, to represent the city in place of the dissolved already in the 1990s Awtomobilist Karaganda and is regarded as the unofficial successor team.

The first two seasons the team played first in the third highest Russian league. In the preliminary round of HK Saryarka took each a third. As of 2009, the club played in the Kazakh Hockey Championship. In the 2009/10 season the club won the first place in the preliminary round, the semifinal series decided against the Gornjak Rudny 3-0 for itself. The final series against the HK Beibarys Atyrau was only won in the fifth playoff. Thus, the Kazakh team was champion for the first time.

2012, the club was founded in 2010, was added to the Wysschaja Hockey League, which is the second division in Russia. In the 2012/13 season of HK Saryarka Karaganda won the first round, but had to be in the playoff final with 3:4 against Toros Neftekamsk beaten.

Second Team

When the club took part in the Russian leagues in the game mode, he also had a second team that played in the Kazakh Hockey Championship. Fourth place in the 2006/07 season was won and a year later, the sixth and last place. In the 2008 /09 season the team earned fourth place again. Since the club took part only in the Kazakh Hockey Championship from the 2009/10 season, was the second to the first team.
