Sascha Reinelt

Sascha Reinelt ( born October 11, 1978 in Sindelfingen ) is a German hockey player.

Life

Reinelt was already as a 14- year-old in the junior national team of the German Hockey Federation, while he was still playing at SV Böblingen. In 1996 he played his first international match in the national team of men.

Here Reinelt developed into a solid pillar of the team and one of the best strikers in the country. In total he played 233 matches and scored 75 goals.

His greatest successes came in 2002 by winning the Hockey World Cup in Kuala Lumpur and the three European championship titles in 1999 (Hall and field) and 2003. Recently, he won at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens with the German national team the bronze medal. Despite triple ligament tear he played the semi-finals and shot in the match for third place even a goal. In the hockey Bundesliga Sascha Reinelt plays on the HTC Stuttgarter Kickers. In 2005 he was with his team's German champions and 2006 European Cup winner.
