Saskia Bartusiak ( born September 9, 1982 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German football player.

Life
After graduating from high school in 2002 at the Ziehenschule Bartusiak began studying Sports Science at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, which she completed in 2011.
Sporting career
Club football
Your football career began when Bartusiak FV 09 Eschersheim. In 1996, she left her home club and joined the FSV Frankfurt in whose jersey they also celebrated their Bundesliga debut. In 2005 she moved to the first FFC Frankfurt.
Bartusiak is used both in defense and in midfield.
National
Bartusiak played once for the German U18 national team and eleven times for the Under-21 team of the DFB.
On 12 April 2007 she came in the game against the Netherlands for the first time in the German national team to use. With the national team it was 2007 Soccer World Champion at the World Cup in China. For the 2011 World Cup in Germany it belonged to Squad and played in central defense.
On 15 February 2012, she led in her 50th game in the 5-0 victory in the European Championship qualifier against Turkey for the injured tribe captain Nadine Angerer first time the national team as a captain on the field. In the fourth minute of injury time, she was sent off by the second caution ( yellow card ) and was suspended for the next match against Spain.
At the European Championships 2013 in Sweden they took with the team eighth title. Throughout the tournament, Germany received only one goal. For their services in the defense she was elected to the European Championship All- Star Team on 30 June 2013.
