Säter

Sater is a locality ( Tätort ) in the Swedish province of Dalarna County and municipal seat of the same name.

Sater was originally a royal estate, which was expanded in 1630 with a settlement. 1642 was the municipal rights, which are meaningless since the administrative reforms of 1971. The central parts of Sater represent one of the best preserved timber towns in Sweden dar. In the 16th and 17th centuries were in Sater square coins, called Klippingar prepared.

Built in 1912 Hospital of the place was originally a psychiatric hospital. Every year triathlon competitions are held here, which are accompanied by a rich cultural program, for example, a Samba Carnival.
