Satu Mäkelä-Nummela

Satu Mäkelä - Nummela ( born October 26, 1970 in Orimattila ) is a Finnish sports shooter in the discipline Trap and Olympic champion.

Mäkelä - Nummela had already been successful during the 1990s as a shooter. She won at the 1995 World Championships in Nicosia the bronze medal in trap. After that, however, she took a break and returned only in 2002 after the birth of her second child in the Finnish national team back. In 2006 she won a World Cup in Suhl, which earned her a ticket to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. There she won the gold medal in their discipline trap. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, the defending champion finished seventh.

Mäkelä - Nummela works in a coffee house. She is married to Matti Nummela who has trained them and also participated at the Olympic Games, and has two children.
