Satuek District

Amphoe Satuek ( Thai: อำเภอ สตึก ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northeastern province of Buriram. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from the south clockwise): Amphoe the Krasang, Huai Council, Ban Dan, Khu Mueang Buriram and khaen Dong Province and Amphoe Chumphon Buri, Tha Tum, Chom Phra and Mueang Surin Province Surin.

History

Satuek was originally a Tambon Mueang Buriram of Amphoe, 1938, he was appointed to a sub-district ( King Amphoe ). On November 1, 1947 Satuek was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

The county Satuek is divided into twelve subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 179 villages ( Muban ).

Satuek ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สตึก ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Satuek and Nikhom.

There are also twelve " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
