ERC Ingolstadt (DEL, since 2003)

The Saturn - Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, which was helped build for use by the Hockey Team ERC Ingolstadt. In ice hockey games they can accommodate up to 4,816 persons ( 3,000 standing and 1,816 seats). At other events, the capacity for up to 6,000 spectators can be extended. Since October 2005, the citizens of the hall is also available for public skating.

Operators are Stadtwerke Ingolstadt leisure facilities GmbH - the name rights are owned by the company Saturn Hansa

History

After the old skating rink on the street Jahn had come in Ingolstadt in the years, has been discussed for a long time about locations, scope, uses and operator of a new stadium in Ingolstadt.

The arena, which was built on the former site of the sports pioneer barracks on the Schanz was opened on 3 October 2003.
