Satya Nadella

Satya Nadella ( Telugu: సత్య నాదెళ్ల ) ( * 1967 in Hyderabad, India) is an American computer scientist. He was appointed with immediate effect as CEO of Microsoft on 4 February 2014 and thus followed the previous CEO Steve Ballmer claimed.

Life

Satya Nadella attended Hyderabad Public School and the Manipal Institute of Technology Manipal ( Karnataka, India), where he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications. After a short time at Sun Microsystems in 1992 he began to work for Microsoft. Before he became the successor of Steve Ballmer as CEO in February 2014, he was responsible for the cloud services of the company.

Private

Nadella is married and has three children. He lives with his family in the United States in Washington State.
